The trading strategies you create with the Quagensia® Desktop Application can output more than just orders and drawings on the charts to which the strategies are attached.
Support for emitting various kinds of output from within strategy code varies greatly between trading platforms, so the kinds of output that you can emit from within a Quagensia Strategy or Quagensia Function also varies greatly based on the edition of Quagensia.
Quagensia® N Edition supports printing output to the output window and output log, generating alerts, sending an email, and playing sounds.
Quagensia® T Edition supports printing output to the print log, writing to files, displaying a message in a popup window, adding analysis commentary to the charts, and playing sounds.
Output actions are located in the “Output (Alerts and Logging)” folder of the context menu that appears when you click anywhere on your Quagensia Algo’s workspace where one or more of the actions in the “Output (Alerts and Logging)” context menu folder are allowed.
Output actions are valid in the “When Bar Updates” section of a Quagensia Strategy and the “Function Logic” section of some Quagensia Functions.
The no-code “Output (Alerts and Logging)” Actions built into Quagensia N & T Editions are listed below with links to their help pages. Each action is displayed in the same subfolder in which you can find it in the Quagensia Desktop Application’s Algo Explorer and in the context menu that appears when you click on a location on your Quagensia Algo’s workspace where the action is allowed to be used.
