More About the “Activate Your Quagensia License Online” window
The “Activate Your Quagensia License Online” window allows you to activate your edition of the Quagensia Desktop Application online for use on a single computer by entering a license key for a paid subscription to the edition of Quagensia that was emailed to you by either Quagensia or one of our resellers.
You can open the “Activate Your Quagensia License Online” window by selecting the “Activate Your Quagensia License Online…” menu item located in the main menu’s “Help” menu.
If you have not yet purchased a license key for a paid subscription to your edition of Quagensia, you can purchase one online by clicking on a link on the “Activate Your Quagensia License Online” window.
If you already have a license key for a paid subscription to the edition of Quagensia that you are using, you can enter it into a text box on the “Activate Your Quagensia License Online” window and press a button to activate Quagensia online.
If you want to use your edition of Quagensia on a second computer but you only purchased a single license key with only one activation, you have two options:
- If you need to use Quagensia on both computers at the same time, you will need to purchase a second license key and activate it on the second computer using the “Activate Your Quagensia License Online” window on the second computer by following the instructions at the top of this help document. Note that if you purchased a license key with two activations, you can use the same license key on two computers instead of purchasing a second license key with one activation.
- If you want to use Quagensia on a second computer but don’t need to use Quagensia on two computers at the same time, for instance if you want to use Quagensia on your laptop while on vacation or if you purchased a new computer and want to move your Quagensia license from your old computer to your new computer, you can simply deactivate your license on the computer on which you won’t be using Quagensia by opening Quagensia on that computer and selecting the “Deactivate Your Quagensia License (Remember License Key)…” menu item located in the main menu’s “Help” menu, then activating your edition of Quagensia on the second computer by opening Quagensia on the second computer and following the instructions at the top of this section to use the “Activate Your Quagensia License Online” window. You can move a single license key with one activation as often as you want between multiple computers as described above. If you don’t have access to the machine with the activated license because your hard drive crashed or your computer was stolen contact us so that we can make a change to your license on the license server, allowing you to activate your license on the machine to which you have access. This service is limited to ten times per year per license.
You can accomplish all license-oriented tasks from any of the following three places within the Quagensia Desktop Application: the Start Page tab, the “Help” main menu, and the “About Quagensia” window.
To learn more about license-oriented tasks, read the Using the “About Quagensia” Window help topic.
